The first in a series of collaborative fundraisers for human rights, social and environmental justice. Music is powerful, art is powerful. For many years I pursued success and financial compensation for my creative works as a way of validating the energy and attention devoted to them. I found that this left me feeling isolated, unfulfilled and in an egotistical, competitive relationship to other creators. My pride and pursuit of perfection had me mired in addictive patterns and ground my creativity to a halt and crushed my ability to support others under the weight of my own ego.

I have since learned that what drives me to create is the emotional/mental/spiritual experience of creating music, collaboration with community, and finding a purpose for sharing my creations outside of financial compensation and my own ego gratification.
